Age 67 of Champlin, passed away April 9, 2019 surrounded by family and friends. Preceded in death by parents, Lachlan M. and Shirley M. (nee Wilkinson) Noren; brother and sister-in-law, Randall J (Cheryl) Noren. Dee Dee was a bright light who looked at the world through rose-colored glasses. She was retired and a volunteer with Lutheran Social Services. Survived by daughter Jessica (Daniel) Sylvestre; grandson Vincent Noren-Sylvestre; siblings, Robert (Debra) Noren; Jude Savage; Nancy (Gary) Carpenter; and Pat (Lyle) Noren Enderson; uncle, Marlow O. Noren; friend, Cindy Olson; nieces, nephews, cousins and many other loving family and friends. Funeral service Friday April 26 at 6pm.

Oakes, Daniel S. age 65 of Minneapolis, MN passed away on October 8, 2017. Cancer technically beat Dan, but he fought very hard for six years. He was still trying to qualify for a cancer study last week and was working as a much-loved Veterinarian at his clinic, Diamond Lake Animal Hospital, until Wednesday. Even though he couldn't go into the office, he refused to quit and continued to work from home. He passed away peacefully in his sleep with his family by his side. A 1971 graduate of St. Louis Park High School, he attended the University of Minnesota at Duluth and later received an Associates Degree in substance abuse counseling. Bill worked as a counselor and volunteer at Courage Center which helped him greatly following a stroke. Despite his disability, Bill continued to enjoy lifelong friendships and make new ones.
