On behalf of the renion committee, I want to thank all of you who attended our reunion last Saturday.  We hope you had a good time.  We hope you will use the website to let us know what you thought of the reunion, both good and bad.We also hope you will continue to use the website to update us and your classmates on changes in your life.  It will make things easier for the next reunion (2020).  The website will be here unless new technology makes it obsolete by then.We urge you to post pictures from the reunion.  And we hope you will still think about making a donation to our scholarship fund or buy a t-shirt or DVD.  T-shirt sales will end on September 10th.  The DVD is still in production.  Once it is completed, it too, will have a cut-off date.  Keep checking this site for more details.Again, thanks for making the reunion a huge success.  Don\'t hesitate to contact us and most of all be well.  2020 will be here before we know it.

All DVD Purchasers - The DVD is almost done.  We hope to ship in two weeks.  Sorry for the delay.  If you have not bought one, now is the time to do so.  The cost is $25.00 and all proceeds go to the scholarship fund.  We now are accepting checks only.  Thanks and Happy holidays!

Did anyone else get a business proposal from a Larry William?? I guess I was surprised those creeps would use a reunion site to scam people.....

Hi Everyone! Thanks to everyone who came to the 40-year reunion Saturday night!  It was so great seeing all of you and, even though I didn\'t get to talk with everyone, I hope you had a great time.   Did you take pictures and want to share them?  Upload them into the "Photo Albums" page.  We\'ve set up albums for the Park High Tour, Bob Levine and Sam Stern\'s Pre-Reunion Party, and two albums for reunion pictures (#1 is already full so upload to #2).I\'m still trying to catch up on my sleep, but I loved seeing everyone and I hope to keep the conversations going until the next reunion.

comment by Kevin Dale

I had a great time seeing everyone. Its strange the things you think about when you see faces you have not seen in years.  I wore my voice out that night.

comment by Lynne Nuessle Lindmeier

I was on elated all night Saturday. I was reintroduced to some wonderful people, and saw so many people that I remember. As everyone else has stated, I am so grateful to the organizers. I also would love to have a 45th reunion, but realize how much time has been put in to the planning, so it might not be realistic! Keep me in mind if you would like my help for the next spectular event!

comment by Faith Kiperstin Schway

I just want to let all of you know how wonderful it was seeing you last night!   It brought back so many great memories.  I really appreciate all of the hard work the committee did to put this amazing event together.  I look forward to seeing everyone at the next reunion!  I, too, wish it didn\'t have to be another 10 years!

comment by Randy Nielson

Right on Roger!  This was really a tremendous night.. so very good to see "old" faces  basking in our own light.  If we could pull of a "45" year reunion I\'ll be here to help volunteer.  Happy trails to you all and, by the way, Rick Ohotto stiffed me on the $20...lol!

comment by Roger Swedlund

Ya gotta Love it ! What a great time,Thanks to all those involved putting this together.. Shame we have to wait another 10 years to do it\' again. What a pleasure it was,`Roger `Swedlund

Thanks to the SLP70 Reunion organizing committee to put together what will sure to be a great party. Taking my daughter to college this weekend (she\'s a sophmore at Earlham), so I won\'t be able to attend the reunion. I will spin a few LPs from my record collection and take a walk down memory lane on Saturday, though. Have fun!

Looking forward to seeing my band mates---where did I put that clarinet?  Enjoyed the mini Lenox elementary school reunion at our 30th gathering (Laura Sidransky).

Well, our "when I'm 64 reunion/party" is but a few weeks away now. Since no one has yet "commented" about it, guess I'll jump in and be the first. Really cool that we now have an informal "reunion" every year at the Park Tavern. After the huge turnout at the "formal" 40th, I had suggested having something more often. Not to be morbid, but each year a few more of us pass on. So, why wait? I'm happy to see the organizers agree and they now have given us an annual bash each August! Informal and free! Now, it's our turn to show our gratitude by coming! And I hope you will. That's all, folks. See you there?

comment by Debbie Peterson

So sorry I can't make this fun party!!  I just moved to AZ three weeks ago and am buried in moving, setting up my classroom and managing 26 fifth graders.  I know you are all going to have a great time and yes, I am very jealous!   See you next year, though, for our 45th!   P.S.  AZ starts school the first week of August.  Any chance of moving the 45th reunion up a little?  : )

comment by Steve Waldman

The 45-Year Reunion is only 8 weeks away.  Are you going to be there?  I hope so.  Please RSVP.   Saturday, August 22nd at 7:00 pm.  Remember, this 45-Year Reunion is a Once In A Lifetime Event and you don't want to miss it.  Hope to see you all there.

"Route 66" 48-Year Get Together is Saturday, August 25th at the Park Tavern.  We hope to see as many of you "old timers" as possible.  We always seem to have a great turnout and everyone always seems to have a good time.  Two important things to remember.  First, you are only as old as you feel.  Second, there will be balloons and cake on Saturday.  Tradition!  We look forward to seeing you all.

comment by Bruce Siegfried

Thought I would check in here and take a look.  Have not see this before.  Guess we haven't had many guests on here lately! And why all those letters and symbols in Wayne's last post on here?  If it's censorship did he really swear that long on here?  Wayne!

Back in 1970, I didn't think I'd even be around to go to a 50th reunion, much less enjoy it as immensely as I did this one. The 40th was great. The "off-year" Park Tavern "mini-reunions" were fun. But THIS reunion exceeded all expectations! With nearly 250 in attendance, we had a bigger turnout than many classes have at their commencements! People are still talking about it.  Our committee did an exceptional job putting it all together and getting it airborne. But it takes people - YOU - to attend and make it fly. Remember back in the day going to parties and after walking in and looking around, we'd sometimes say: "Where IS everyone?" Not many of us had to say that at this party, because (just about) everyone was there! The biggest problem wasn't not enough people, but not enough TIME! To greet everyone would have meant limiting conversations to a couple of minutes. I spent a half hour with a guy I never even knew! (I know him now!)  In show biz, it's often said: "leave 'em wanting more"... That's certainly true here. Our class really likes to stay connected. We do want more. I really hope we can do it again - someway, somehow, and sometime soon! ...Bet you do too! Thank you!

comment by Irwin Barr

Lots of things have happened in the world in the last 40 years but unfortunately the Vikings still haven't won a super bowl. Oh well, some things just never change. I am a bit of a recluse but I won't miss this reunion and a chance to step through a time warp back to the year 1970. Thanks to the organizers (and the internet) for making this happen.

For all of you with great ideas about entertainment, please drop me an e-mail with your thoughts (yeah, I volunteered to help out the Reunion Committee). And no, Nelly, we're not going to write on Siem with ballpoint pens if he passes out - that was so 2 decades ago...

comment by Rondi Atkin

Like everyone else, I can't believe it's been forty years.  I look forward to seeing everyone, and a big thanks to the planning committee for putting this togehter.

comment by Doug Haftings

This is going to be great. How many guys still have hair? Do you have more grandchildren than hair? How grey is it? 40 years is a long time, but then I've had the same job for 25.

comment by Wayne Klayman

Hey Haftings - Hair??? What's hair?... ...looking back at the way most of us parted it 1/8" above our ears and did the "Trump sweep", you'd think we were already losing it!

comment by bob brill

I am really looking forward to seeing everyone, although when I look at the names in the guest book, most of whom I have not seen since graduation, you have the current advantage of being frozen in mind at age 18. I am sure you are all even more stunningly attractive now. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I remeber when my parents were going to their 40th reunion!  They still go to the North High Reunions!  We have alot of years to celebrate.  Can't wait to compare stories!

Many thanks to the reunion organizing committee.  We\'re a huge group and I\'m sure there\'s nothing easy about trying to find us and then encouraging us to sign in and enter some information on this website.  It\'s a great website, fun to look at, and full of interesting stories, some happy and some sad.  The party in August should be fun for all.  I truly appreciate your hard work.

SLP 70 Classmates.  Our reunion is only 2 weeks away and over 230 people have already signed on.  If you haven\'t done so already, and want to attend, please do so.  If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us.  We also have 50 people signed up for the high school tour on Friday, August 20th at 1:00.  This is free and will be a good start to the weekend.  Meet at the circular doors by the tennis courts.  Things have changed a bit in 40 years at SLP.  We hope to see you all.  Remember, your 40-year high school reunion will only happen one time.  This is that time.
