Comment: I'm Minnesota Dreamin' out here in California. Seeing all of your names and smiling faces is quite the nostalgic trip down memory lane. What had somewhat faded is now reappearing as a timeless reality.



Between college and career, my life has taken me from Minnesota to Michigan, Florida and now California, where I will have been for the past 30 years this August. My wife, Sue, and I have been married 15 years and have two kids, Derek (13) and Hannah (11)

Comment: It is amazing how the time has flown by- I will do my best to be at the reunion in 2020.

I am doing well- hike alot, have a therapy dog named LEON that visits when there is need for healing.  I do restorative justice (puttting victims and offenders together to repair the harm done when an offense occurs). 



Steve and I have been married for 40 years this year- and I love my kids and my new granddaughter, Marlowe.   



I feel very lucky to have wonderful high school memories.

Comment: I'm looking forward to seeing so many of my Facebook friends at the reunion. Today's technology has made staying in touch so much easier. It will be nice to be able to reconnect in person with a bit of background already known. On the other hand, even though I live on a farm, I am not going to be recruited to harvest crops in Farmville. When I'm not on the farm in Independence where my wife raises horses (happy wife, happy life), I'm usually downtown practicing law. But, of course, my FB friends already know that.

Comment: After graduating from Gustavus in 1974 in Nursing,  I was a nurse in the Army Nurse Corps. After my 3 yrs in the Service my husband and I settled in Buffalo, Mn. where I worked as an OB Nurse for 23 yrs.  Now we live in Brooklyn Park and our 3 children are married and live in the Twin City area. We have 10 wonderful grandchildren from 16 years down to newborn and keep quite busy dividing our time between them!! Our family loves being together as our schedules allow!! I have retired now after 40 years in the Allina Health Care System. Most of my years were in OB nursing Labor and Delivery and Newborn Care.  My husband is retired from teaching in the Hopkins schools and continues to work part time at Bethel University in the Special Education Department. Life is Busy and Full !! We feel very blessed.

Comment: after taking a year off after graduation, i attended college at UMD and fell in love with the north shore and Lake Superior. i have worked as a graphic designer ever since, first in corporate america and now on my own. i also do some interior design for businesses and friends.



i have been married for 29 years, but separated since 2012. We have two properties on the north shore where i love to spend as much time as possible. even the 2 cats love it there!



i am looking forward to getting all of my high school pals to come to the reunion where we can reminisce and meet old friends and faces.



2015 update:  didn't make the 45th reunion due to an injury. Great to see the photos, thanks, Sam.

Comment: I spent eight years at the U of Minnesota after high school.  I have stayed in Minnesota all these years working for three to six companies depending on how you count mergers, spinoffs etc.  all as an integrated circuit design engineer.  Spent 14 years married and 15 now divorced.  With both kids away in college I have time to spend much of my summers at the cabin in northern Minnesota.  I am looking forward to August.



August 2019: I made it to the 49th reunion party and decided I should update my profile.  I retired 18 months ago.  I enjoyed what I did, but I really don't miss it.  Both kids made it through college and are now married.  They both live within a couple of miles of me. I was thinking about leaving Minnesota when I retired, but it is tough to do with them that close. And now I have my first grandchild who is two months old today.

I spend a lot of time during non-winter months at the cabin my folks bought when they retired and that I now share with my brother. It is nice to be around there when the weekenders are not.  We do a little fishing, a little remodelling and a little hanging out at the local watering holes.

Comment:  40 years already?  In June, I attended my nephew's high school graduation from SLP exactly 40 years after ours.  Anyone remember who the commencement speaker was at our graduation?  Al Franken spoke this year, and yes, he was funny.
