Wendy Susan Lerner
1952-01-06 2025-07-24St. Paul, MN - Wendy, age 73, of St. Paul, died in hospice, surrounded by loved ones, on July 24th, of pancreatic cancer.
Wendy was born in St. Louis Park to Leon and Elaine Lerner and graduated from St. Louis Park High School, where she was known for her laughter and her smile.
Wendy was a keen businesswoman. Her sharp intelligence and sense of adventure served her well. With no entrepreneurial experience, based on her love of plants and flowers, she founded a shop that thrived for quite some time. She then co-founded a business that refurbished hotels around the country.
Wendy passed on her intelligence to her son, Adam, a renowned Twin Cities chef. To say that she was proud of his accomplishments would be an understatement.
Wendy is preceded in death by her parents and survived by son, Adam; daughter-in-law, Jordan; sister, Nancy, brother-in law David Frej, nieces Willa and Austin; Aunt Audrey; many cousins; Adam's godmother, Susie; and scores of longtime friends for whom she was a fierce champion and mentor.
A service will be held on Monday, August 11, 2025, 11am, at Shir Tikvah, 1360 West Minnehaha Pkwy, Minneapolis, MN 55419
