Richard G. Cochran
1965-01-25I too remember the day Richard was killed while delivering papers. He was a quiet boy and not many of us in 7th grade knew him very well at all. He was just one of those many kids that blended in with the background. That day, however, I rememember so many people crying and/or in shock. We had never lost one of "us" before, and suddenly dear Richard had more friends than he ever knew he had in life. His death taught all of us a lesson that day. Many of us felt guilty for never even having said hello to him. I know I did. And as it turned out, he was more ambitious than all of us put together. I carried Richard's memory with me all thru my school years. Wayne Klayman Oakdale, MN
tribute by Wayne KlaymanI remember the morning that Richard was killed- it was a dark morning, raining as I recall. I was in math class that Richard was a part of when out teacher told us that he had been delivering papers that morning and was hit by a car. I remember hiim as a quiet shy boy. It is a enduring memory from junior high school.
