Registered Nurse Married 2 2012-08-06 15:45:55
I have two great kids that are paying taxes, and contributing to society.  I also have four wonderful grandchildren that love me.  I have been married to my first Wife for 35 years, and life is good!

I have been a nurse for almost 30 years and am currently a Director of Nursing at Regions in St. Paul.  Who would have thought I would have chosen the health profession when my only sport in High School was smoking in the bathroom.

HR manager/consultant (retired) Married 1 2012-08-06 16:07:57

This is a great website. Thanks to the reunion committee for all of their hard work and creativity.

Forty years ago I was preparing to go to the U of M and I graduated six years later with degrees in child psych, social welfare and a teaching certification. I worked for a few years in child development, got married, and then returned to the U of M for graduate school in Industrial Relations (HR and labor relations). Following grad school, my son was born, and after years of working as a HR manager and consultant, and trying to juggle family and career, I was fortunate to be able to leave the corporate world and become a stay-at-home mom. That was the best job ever!

Recently my son graduated from St. Olaf College and my husband and I are thrilled to have him back home. I currently work with a friend in catering and also with my brother for an inner city youth leadership foundation. Life is good. I am so looking forward to seeing my classmates at the reunion.

Jerry Chanen
Retired Senior Metrologist Married 1 2014-10-30 21:20:31
Since graduation I was employed as a lead inspector supervisor at McCourtney Plastics from 1970 thru 1982. I left McCourtney Plastics and for the last 28 years I have been employed as a Senior Metrologist for ADC Telecommunications.
I guess along the way I attended Century College to further my education.
My wife and I retired in Branson, Missouri in 2013.
I will be sixty four in January with little gray hair and I'm not a member of the baldies club.  Life has been good to me since graduation. It's hard to believe how the years have gone by.
We have four Ragdoll cats that keep us amused.
My hobbies include hiking, biking, home improvement projects, landscaping and Twins baseball.
Please give me a call or email me. I would enjoy talking with you.

art teacher, massage therapist, artist Married 2012-08-06 15:30:54
After High School I spent 6 months in Israel.
I then got my BA in Studio Arts and Hebrew, and Masters (ABD) in English as a Second Language, while working as teacher and director of the Temple Israel Hebrew School.  I also married and divorced in the '70's (no kids).

I returned to Israel in the summers of '81 and '82 to paint landscapes in and around Jerusalem.
I was accepted to the International Artists' Association and have several exhibitions.  You can view some of my work, if you want, on Facebook.

I learned massage therapy in 1996-97, and have a private practice at home.

In 1998 I was hired as an art therapist in an institution for severely brain-damaged children (ages infant to young adults)
.

That same year, I met and married my husband Rabbi Yehonatan Chipman (he also works as a translator of academic Judaica).
I get to be step-mother now to his 4 grown children and Grandma to his 2 little granddaughters!

I've been able to visit my family in the States every year or 2--this year it will be in April--so I won't be able to attend the reunion in Aug.
It's been fun going through the profiles and seeing familiar names!
So if you get to Israel--look me up!

My husband John (SLP grad class of 1969) and I have been enjoying living in Arizona for over 12 years. We moved from Minnesota to Lake Havasu City Arizona in 2006. Our children relocated to Arizona a few years later. In 2015 we moved from Lake Havasu to Sun City to be near our grandchildren who live in the northwest area of Phoenix. Neither of us have close relatives ln Minnesota and seldom travel east of Denver anymore. We briefly discussed attending the 1970 class reunion and will keep it mind when making travel plans for 2020. Send Jeanne a MessageSend Jeanne a Message
