Both my wife and myself have lived in St. Louis Park all our lives. After leaving highschool I was in the service and then attended Dunwoody Technical College. After graduating from Automotive Technogy, I was a Senior Master Ford and Subaru Technician for over twenty years. I then advanced into management for a number of years continuing to become a Field Service Consultant and Trainer for JM Family Enterprises and traveling constantly throughout the US for thirteen years. I provided extensive service, parts, and body shop training in all the automotive manufacture"s lines.  After retiring from JM, I now currently have my own business in that same field. I have been married to my best friend and spouse for over 46 years and we have actually been together almost fifty years. We have three grown boys all graduates of Park High and two wonderful Grandsons.

April 01, 1900 Author, Broadcaster, Music Historian, Arts Critic, Public Speaker, Actress- heck, it's all at has notified me that some of you have left messages.  But, since I haven't joined, I don't know the senders' identities nor the content of your messages.

Best way to reach me is through the email address listed on my Web site.

Who'd have thought I'd be living in Nashville now?   Certainly not me when I left Park High to get my degree in Radio-TV at the University of Maryland- College Park.

I figured I would live and work in Washington D.C.  (having been, at age 13, the subject of Rosalie Kiperstin's profile in the St. Louis Park Dispatch titled "Future Senator...)

Funny thing was, before graduation from College Park (in 3 1/2 years since I spent the summer following my junior year accumulating enough credits in sociology,  at Vanderbilt University- to declare it as my minor), I was on the fast track to becoming a White House intern  (a dream entry level job in the pre-Monica Lewinsky days when we didn't yet know the name Bill Clinton let alone what has since come to light about Jack Kennedy and his White House intern!).

I'd love to,  but I'm not sure that I'll be able to, make the reunion.  I wish it were scheduled closer to July 25th when I'll be in Eden Prairie to attend my nephew's wedding.  Perhaps those of you who live nearby would like to get together then?

I need to get a new scanner but when I do I hope to share some photos that  I took during our class trip to Washington, D.C. and during the (in)famous Roman (Meal Bread) Wedding (the lattter no doubt remembered fondly by all of the late Robert Zitur's Latin "scholars").

And yes, I can still recite the lyrics to Just Live in the Here and Now (sung to the tune of Be Kind To Your Web-footed Friends).

September 29, 1952 writer Committed Relationship

I’ve been enjoying this site so much I figure I should participate more fully, so…

…I think about high school a lot.  All the time, in fact, because my “job” these days is to write books for and about teens.  Some of you may discover that I borrowed your name for my characters – the Echowan has become one of my key research tools.  It also helps me get back into that teenage mindset, an often humiliating, occasionally horrific, and always fascinating exercise.

I’ve been writing fiction for a living for about 20 years now, after attempting a bunch of other careers that didn’t work out so well.  Not-so-coincidentally, my S.O., Mary Logue, is also a writer.  Mary and I have been together for 20 years and four months, which is 20 years longer than any other woman ever put up with me.  We now live in Golden Valley (mostly) and Stockholm, Wisconsin (sometimes), with a couple of gerbil-size poodles and way too many books.

Life is good.  I’ve been appreciating it ever more after perusing the “In Memorium” section of this website.  I’m looking forward to seeing all of you at the reunion.
