Living a charmed life here in the mountains west of Boulder, Colorado. My wife/best friend, Lisa & I share an idyllic setting with mountain creatures of every description. The ol' body's holding up reasonably well. Skiing, hiking, biking and motorbiking occupy my recreational moments. Our 23 year old Sophie lives in Chicago plying her talents as musician and film maker. My now 33 year old daughter, Claire lives nearby with her husband and son, my grandson with whom I spend 1-2 days each week. Traveling domestically and abroad for perspective and outdoor adventure are among the passions I share with my wife. |

After I was through with my post high school education I lived in Uptown until a friend of mine was moving to San Francisco and talked me into going along. I lived and worked in the city for a few years of fun and craziness and ended up transferring back to Minneapolis with a corporate job. I met my husband at work and got married; I was close to 30 by then…. His job took us to Omaha, Nebraska where our first son was born. Dan came home from work one day and said that we an opportunity to transfer San Francisco – I started packing immediately. We lived there for 2 years where our second son was born then decided to transfer back to be closer to family and better schools. (Sometimes we still question that decision!) And so, we have been here 21 years. I was fortunate to stay home, raising our two boys and learned a lot about learning disabilities and advocating. I have become interested in health through nutrition and alternative medicine. My husband and I have become avid bicyclists the past 3 years and ride every day during the summer. Our favorite is to ride downtown Minneapolis and picnic along the Mississippi. Currently I work for Hopkins School District and I bike to work whenever it is possible. About 8 years ago I took a painting class and it stuck. I drew during my high school and college days but was always afraid of color; it isn’t as scary as I thought; oil paint is so forgiving! I recently started drawing again and have been involved with a group that gets together during the summer to sketch, critique and this summer – sweat! In the fall it is back to the classroom. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. |

40 years is hard to believe! Upon graduation from SLP went to Concordia College, Moorhead, MN and graduated in '74. Met my wife of 23 years before she passed in '97 from leukemia. Raised 3 daughters, all doing well in their careers. Remarried in 2001 and retired in 2007 having survived prostate cancer and 2 hip replacements. I must say I have been blessed . Looking forward to the reunion in August.

We are moving to the west coast... the Portland, Oregon area. Presently, the exact date and place is unknowable, but the certainty is undeniable. My wife, Celia, has made the decision that Minnesota is too frigging cold in the winter and the summer is too damn hot and humid. In addition, the way she tells it... there are no bugs in Oregon. With Celia's family now closer we will begin building a new life. We recently learned that our first grandchild is on the way, so I will be able to tryout my grandpa laugh, and Celia wants to be there in time to plan a baby shower. I am open for suggestions to adapting to this big move. If you are spiritually inclined, you can pray for me... ahh I mean that our move goes well. I am looking forward to meeting old friends and classmates on August 22nd. Come and say hi, for it might be our last visit. |
