April 29, 1952 Attorney/playwright stillstandingproductions.com Committed Relationship
I spent a lot of time practicing law, but always kept my hand in the arts.  Now, I work as a small claims court judge and teach law.  I've spent time on the boards of the Guthrie and some other theaters and foundations.  I have decided to just enjoy life after a cancer diagnosis and only do the things I want.  I currently have a play scheduled to open on August 6 at the Jungle Theater as part of the Minnesota Fringe Festival.

I directed a music video in LA of a song I wrote for a musical.  It is being screened at international film festivals in cities in the US, UK, Ireland and South Africa.   Vimeo.com/12122705.  I've traveled the world and have made it even to Antarctica.  For anyone that didn't know I was gay, I am. I've been with the same guy for 24 years.

November 30, 1952 Sales of backcountry gear and clothing. Recently retired Married 2
Living a pretty charmed life here in the mountains west of Boulder, Colorado. My wife & best friend, Lisa the dentist along with our 18 year old Sophie share this idyllic setting with mountain creatures of every description. Most notably bears and lions.
The ol' body's holding up reasonably well though getting larger. (Anyone else noticing that trend?) Skiing, hiking, biking and motorbiking occupy my recreational moments.
My now 29 year old daughter, Claire recently moved to Denver and remains one of the great joys of my life.
Traveling domestically and abroad for perspective and outdoor adventure is one of the passions I share with my wife and younger daughter.
Unfortunately, I'll be unable to make it to the Social Security party. Family and The Great Outdoors require my attention.

2015 Update: Still lovin' life. Two years older than the last time I checked in here. A bit creekier but still getting after it with tenacious joie de vivre.

September 06, 1952 Married 2

After I was through with my post high school education I lived in Uptown until a friend of mine was moving to San Francisco and talked me into going along.  I lived and worked in the city for a few years of fun and craziness and ended up transferring back to Minneapolis with a corporate job.  I met my husband at work and got married; I was close to 30 by then….  His job took us to Omaha, Nebraska where our first son was born.  Dan came home from work one day and said that we an opportunity to transfer San Francisco – I started packing immediately.  We lived there for 2 years where our second son was born then decided to transfer back to be closer to family and better schools.  (Sometimes we still question that decision!)  And so, we have been here 21 years.

I was fortunate to stay home, raising our two boys and learned a lot about learning disabilities and advocating.  I have become interested in health through nutrition and alternative medicine.  My husband and I have become avid bicyclists the past 3 years and ride every day during the summer.  Our favorite is to ride downtown Minneapolis and picnic along the Mississippi.  Currently I work for Hopkins School District and I bike to work whenever it is possible.

About 8 years ago I took a painting class and it stuck.  I drew during my high school and college days but was always afraid of color; it isn’t as scary as I thought; oil paint is so forgiving!  I recently started drawing again and have been involved with a group that gets together during the summer to sketch, critique and this summer – sweat!  In the fall it is back to the classroom.

That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

After highschool I attended Dunwoody Institute, and I graduated  from their printing dept.  After a failed marriage I moved to Los Angeles California, met a wonderful woman, and after 34 years we are still together.  We became very involved in animal rescue and 20 years ago we formed Bull Terrier Rescue of Southern California.  We moved from Los Angeles 50 miles East to the high desert, built a kennel, and we are now the most active bull terrier rescue in the country.  I also became active in Civil War re-enacting, I live weekends as a confederate Sgt in 1864.  Even though its Southern California we get snow here, I can see snow in the local mountains 6 months out of the year.  I live on 2.5 acres with my wife, 32 dogs, 2 cats, 2 horses, 8 chickens, 2 roosters, and a duck

We are moving to the west coast... the Portland, Oregon area. Presently, the exact date and place is unknowable, but the certainty is undeniable. My wife, Celia, has made the decision that Minnesota is too frigging cold in the winter and the summer is too damn hot and humid. In addition, the way she tells it... there are no bugs in Oregon.  With Celia's family now closer we will begin building a new life. We recently learned that our first grandchild is on the way, so I will be able to tryout my grandpa laugh, and Celia wants to be there in time to plan a baby shower. I am open for suggestions to adapting to this big move. If you are spiritually inclined, you can pray for me... ahh I mean that our move goes well. I am looking forward to meeting old friends and classmates on August 22nd. Come and say hi, for it might be our last visit.
